Sweeney Todd Callback List

Attention Actors, the callback list is posted below! You will see that there are many callbacks tomorrow. I will need you to arrive promptly so that we can begin on schedule with a warmup @ ~ 4:00 PM in the MLK PAC. Songs from the show will be taught to each group so that there will be no need to panic. Congratulations on being called back! Remember that the part you are being called back for may– or may not have any bearing on the ultimate casting decision which shall be made next Monday.

As always,  these callbacks do not determine absolute roles for the show, it is just an opportunity for me to hear you once again in the context of particular and perhaps different parts.

See you tomorrow!

Another season to be grateful for!! TheatreCHS UpDates! 11/5-11/8

Dear Parents and Friends,
Well, all the hard work did in fact pay off! The One-Act cast of Women and War had an extraordinary experience at VTAs this year. Attached is the official document of all awards received by all participating schools this year. I also attached some snaps of various times and places during our stay in Reston.

Most importantly, I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who came along as a chaperone either during the VTA weekend, or for VHSL for their time and participation. Having those chaperones around makes it possible to focus on great theater for a weekend!

I can’t believe it is November! And our rehearsal calendar seems to show it! We have now shifted our after-school attention to the Fall Play Eurydice which will be performed in early December! If you have any questions about how you might be able to get involved with this show let me know!
We will have our FIRST build day for Eurydice THIS Friday Nov. 8 from 10:00-3:00 PM

November 18th…… NOVEMBER 18th…… SAVE THE DATE! Encourage your daughter or son to audition for Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barbour of Fleet St. Auditions will be held in the MLK PAC starting at 4:00 PM. Everyone is encouraged to sign up regardless of experience. Students are invited to prepare a portion of a song that best demonstrates their singing ability. They may also prepare a song directly from Sweeney Todd!
