Good Morning!
It was a busy and active week all across the board this week. The set design is beginning to come together, which is fantastic! I hope to get a chance to meet with all of you this week for for Back-To-School Night this Teusday! We will also be doing a fund raiser for all visitors in the building that night. Please visit our TheatreCHS counter for yummy baked goods!
If you want to contribute to the cause, all proceeds will go to the theatre program. Here is the link to the sign-up for the Bake Sale:
In classes this past week…
Students in technical theatre have worked collaboratively and creatively based on their understanding of the show to develop a unique and meaningful set. I
Intro classes performed their stage combat pieces and learned more about the elements of a play; including setting, conflict, and character objectives. They also took a technical tour of the MLK Performing Arts Center.
C’ville Players have been assigned their first video project and they have all auditioned for the end-of-semester senior “short play performances”.
Musical Theatre Students are working hard on learning the music to “Once on this Island” which will be performed in the Black Box theatre this December. They are also working on promotional Hairspray projects.
